This page will give you some other sites where you can test the security level of your browser, in relation to known exploits in IE--yes, I know, the page cold probably be 100 links to cover all the exploits. Most will indeed offer solutions and fixes for the tests that are not deemed as secure.
Multiple levels of security available here, several tests, port scans, and lots of others, too many to list, check it out!
Scanit Browser Security Test
Scan it's Browser Security Test automatically checks your browser for various security problems. When the test is finished you get a complete report explaining the discovered vulnerabilities, their impact and how to eliminate them.
Security and spyware site, checks for all sorts of vulnerabilities. Two separate tests here, very helpful.
Automated tests will get your PC running fast, stable and secure for free. The diagnostic tests are safe, passive evaluations of your system, and the advice will help you locate and fix system problems. Whether you are a guru or a novice, our tests can quickly determine your PC's operating status. Excellent site!
Panicware Free PopupStoper
This is another excellent popup stopper, I use this, along with Google bar, and I get, quite literally, maybe one popup break thru a month, maybe. Free with an option to 'allow' the occasional one you want. Just hit Ctrl button as you click.
Google Toolbar w\popup stopper
The Google Bar is
one of the better popup blockers available. As an added plus, it
includes the feature to use their search engine, Google, the best out
there. Just be sure and reset the default settings, so it doesn't report
anything back to Google.
Popup Killer Test Site
Go to this site, and see
how your popup killer checks out. Very good site.
Hosts File Prevent Some Popups
You can use a HOSTS file to block ads, banners, cookies, web bugs, and even most hijackers. This is accomplished by blocking the Server that supplies these little gems. Example - the following entry 127.0.0.1 ad.doubleclick.net blocks all files supplied by the DoubleClick Server to the web page you are viewing. This also prevents the server from tracking your movements.
