New TeMerc Website Design!

Postby TeMerc » Fri Mar 21, 2008 11:30 pm

Well folks, I've spent the last couple of weeks working on a reformat of the website.

Of course, anyone with web design experience would look at it and say...'Two weeks huh'? <?>

Well I did the best I could and as usual Steven helped me out, tho I'm sure I managed to butcher up his code here and there. (he tweaked it to rid it of 'extra' HTML code) 1POS

I've added info, updated info and condensed pages where I thought I could, so there are no longer as many pages. 1rtfm

I've still got some bugs to work out, some images and text sizes, but I hope to get them fixed quickly. [;]

Also have to get all the software pages done, but it's not like anyone visits those anyhow. :lol:

Try not to be too harsh. rofl

Let me know what you all think, thanks

Ok, and I even checked to see how it looked in Firefox. :roll:

I adjusted a couple tables on pages where the ran into the menu.

Still need to play around some more tho, a few things I'm not thrilled with.

hehe looks great dude :)

Got a few things to go through with you to get things looking and working a lil better (mainly adding the class= tag to the links that don't have them), and have sent you the code to fix your broken form :)

Got the zip, thanks.

What's that bit of code do to the link and why's it missing, or is that cuz I use the built in FP way and don't code by hand like you do? [;]

hehe it's because you don't code by hand ;)

The class for all except the menu, has been set globally, so you need to remove the <font tags that specify their colours. For example;

This should be;

Code: Select all

<img border="0" src="images/ScreenShot154.jpg" width="20" height="17">

<a href="http://temerc.blogspot.com/" style="color: #006699; font-family: arial,sans-serif">Malware Advisor Blog</a>&nbsp;

Instead of

Code: Select all

<font color="#0000FF" face="Verdana">
      <img border="0" src="file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Tom%20Mercadoi/My%20Documents/My%20Web%20Sites/ScreenShot154.jpg" width="20" height="17"> </font>
      <font face="Verdana" color="#006699">
      <a href="http://temerc.blogspot.com/" style="color: #006699; font-family: arial,sans-serif">
      <span style="text-decoration: none">
      <font color="#0000FF" face="Verdana">
      Malware
                  Advisor Blog</font></span></a><font color="#0000FF" face="Verdana">&nbsp;</font></font>

Having this set globally saves you having to add class= to all of your links ;)
