Hi Mojo!

You can ditch HJT, it's obsolete, and does not show current threats in most cases and no longer used in any type of threat removal.

Use FRST instead below.

Please follow the steps below to run FRST. Disregard any alerts from security software on this file, it's 100% safe and we cannot proceed without the data.

1: Please download FRST from the link below and save it to your desktop:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/downloa ... scan-tool/

Note: You need to download the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system, download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your computer; that will be the right version.

ATTENTION: After you click the Download Now 64-bit or Download Now 32-bit button, another page will open - DO NOT CLICK any additional 'download now' buttons. Please wait and look toward the top or bottom of your browser for the option to Run or Save. Click Save to save the file.

2: Double-click the purple FRST icon to run the program. Click Yes when the disclaimer appears.

3: Click the Scan button

4: When the scan has finished, it will make 2 log files in the same directory the tool is run, FRST.txt and Addition.txt.

Send both please and thanks

Hi Mojo

Thanks for the logs, aside from seeing a boat load of games(way more than I've EVER seen), I'm not seeing anything jumping out at me.

When do these commercials play? At every site or just some sites and what are these commercials about? When did they begin to appear?

Can the commercials be stopped? And are they playing in the same window of the browser, not as an new one?

Sorry for so many questions, just trying to get a better idea what's happening

I think I may have solved that part of it. She had a proxy set in Internet Options. when I unchecked it the commercials went away. She is still having issues with it running very slow at times though.

When is it slow? Windows boot up, opening programs, switching programs? Or when surfing?

I see 'pogo games' running, I'd try to disable that and see if anything improves.

I'd say to run AdwCleaner but I'm afraid it may kill some of those games, no doubt some of them have to be considered PUPs
