Hi and thanks for joining the forums.

I do not see anything out of the ordinary there.

In what way is the system slow? Windows boot up, opening programs, switching programs or loading web sites?

All of the above. It is really slow when loading web pages and may sometimes crash Internet Explorer. I also keep getting this annoying "coupon" pop-up on.

Thanks for clarifying that, the pop up is a likely infection and could be the cause for the other symptoms too.

Let's run ComboFix.

If ComboFix flashes and disappears you may have to download the file from an uninfected computer, install it to a CD or USB stick and install it to the infected machines desktop.

********************************ATTENTION***********************************
Please read the following things which indicate what to do and what not to do before proceeding to download ComboFix:
*Be sure to save ComboFix to the desktop and not anywhere else, nor to any external media.
*Disable ALL security software before you begin scanning. If it does not disable, uninstall it. Use links below:
Some security application uninstallers:
http://www.appremover.com/

Steps to disable some common security applications can be found on the link below(no need to disable Malwarebytes, it will not cause any issues with ComboFix):
http://forums.whatthetech.com/index.php?showtopic=96260

*Please DO NOT add or run any other software(including Malwarebytes Anti-Malware) on the system while we're in the 'clean up' phase.
*If ComboFix downloads the Windows Recovery Console, disconnect from the Net after that stage is done. If it does not install the Recovery Console, disconnect once the scan begins.
*The tool linked to below, ComboFix, may or may not remove files on it's first run, do not be concerned if you're still experiencing problems.
*We may very well need to perform additional removal steps.
*If at any point ComboFix prompts to update, please allow it to do so.
*Regardless of what ComboFix removes or your subsequent lack of malware symptoms, be SURE TO SEND ME THE LOG
*Do not use the infected PC for any financial transactions until it is deemed 'clean'.
*If you get the message 'Illegal operation attempted on registry key that has been marked for deletion' after you run ComboFix....please reboot the computer, this should resolve the problem. You may have to do this several times if needed.
*****************************************************************************
While the steps included in the link below look difficult, in most cases it's a simple matter of saving the file to the desktop and double-clicking it to run. If you're prompted to update ComboFix, please do so.
*****************************************************************
Now proceed to the ComboFix tutorial linked to below. DO NOT download any other software other than ComboFix.

Tutorial:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofi ... e-combofix

Click the link under 'Next you should download ComboFix from the following URL' text line, that is called
'BleepingComputer.com'

The link will take you to another download page, then click the large blue 'Download Now' button, do not click any other images or buttons or links.

Once the scan is done(allow minimum of 2 hours to run regardless of state of appearance) please attach it using the default displayed Notepad format.

Paste in the log results

I have attached the Combofix log file in compressed format.
The contents of the log file was too large to paste.

Thanks very much, that last procedure seems to have achieved positive results, now lets install Malwarebytes and see what it finds, if anything

Save it to the desktop and run the installer from there
http://downloads.malwarebytes.org/file/mbam

Update and scan the system using the default 'Quick' scan option and attach the log back for my review. If anything is detected, please elect to remove whatever it is, just do not empty the 'Quarantine' section as yet.

Also advise of any new or ongoing issues.
