For XP Homers

Postby MysteryFCM » Mon Jan 15, 2007 9:19 am

Came accross this whilst trying to figure out why the standard reg tweak wouldn't work (machine had over 5100 infections!!! ...... and that was just what AVGAS detected!).

Quite a ditty little util (and best of all, no re-boot required!)

FaJo XP File Security Extension (XP FSE)

FaJo XP FSE allows a user of Windows XP Home to view/change the access rights on file system objects of NTFS file systems. The extension therefore provides the security tab known from Windows NT4, Windows 2000 and WIndows XP Pro at the property page of file system objects. For faster access it adds an additional menu item to the context menu of such objects (optional).

I know most of us will know the reg tweak to do the same, and thus, make this useless, but figure it would be enormously useful both for those that don't, and for Joe Average
