Monitor connection
Not sure just where to place this question, so here goes. In the past, computers were connected to monitors via VGA ports. Then came the addition of DVI and HDMI. Just what do the later do (better, faster, clearer or what)? Thanks, Mindblower!

Re: Monitor connection
This link may help explain the difference between DVI and HDMI: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/32524/wh ... is-better/
From what I understand, it's all about streaming of video content including higher resolutions.
Currently I use an adaptor plugged into my DVI graphics card slot to support my VGA monitor connection (the monitor only came with a VGA cable not that I notice any difference between DVI and VGA output).
HDMI is probably the area to focus on as more products are supporting and using this means now.
