If your host has allow_url_fopen disabled, the mod itself will likely fail to work as it requires this. If you're comfortable changing the codes, you can modify this so it uses cURL instead (this assumes that cURL is enabled on your host).

Just a little note for anyone who has the slightly wierd hosting package like I have ..

You can adjust allow_url_fopen by adding these two lines to your .htaccess file (If you have'nt got one, now is good time to do so !!)

Code:
php_value allow_url_fopen on
php_value allow_url_fopen 1


So, it is worth asking your host provider if they allow that change via the .htaccess file.

Now, for me, I then had to have the server stopped and re-started for it to take the settings in. The secret was the stopping and starting the server - That only took about 2 days to find out ((O !!
