How about adding a Welcome forum to post greetings to new members?

Just a thought.

Okey doke!

The reason I asked was I've wanted to post welcomes to people I know that join, but couldn't find an appropriate place.

But, if you decide not to, that's ok!

Well, after thinking about this, I kinda thought the 'Introduce yourself' thread was a good place for sayin hi.........do you think we could use something more specific?

I'm open to suggestions of course.

I had thought about it, but wasn't sure if welcomes were appropriate. 'Specially since no one else had put any there.

But I'll use that and it'll be fine, Tom.

Maybe you could change the name to Welcome Center or something similar and make the description something like 'Welcome new members or introduce yourself here'....

Something like that?

You know the home site page does say who joined the forum. Isn't that kind of a welcome?

Just wondering.

I do belong to a game group who has a welcome thread and the members welcome the people who have joined. I do think it is friendly, but if a lot of people start joining the forum, can it get out of hand? We are a small group of about 50 people, so we can stay up with it.

Just a thought.

Even with a lot of members.....usually someone is on site and welcomes new members even if the new member never sees.....I'v done that...not seen it for a while....then posted to it.

But, isn't really necessary....we can post in the I am thread any welcomes.

It's all good! :D
