New - too new

Postby Mindblower » Fri Mar 14, 2008 9:25 am

I sure do hope this change is (was) worth all the work. It's still confusing and navigating isn't easy either. Know things must change, just that by the time one masters the current, it's back to square Zero. Wish there was a simpler way to read the forum (might explain my lest than frequent visits), Mindblower!

Hi Mindblower.

Not sure what you're getting at in so far as navigation goes.

There have not been any real changes, except for convenience. There is one extra button, 'View active topics' to choose from, the others are the same.

You have choice of how the forum displays now, be it ascending or descending, which you didn't have before.

You can sub to either a specific topic, or to an entire forum.

Aside from the 'appearance' which changed, what's hard to navigate thru? I added a couple of forums, but that shouldn't cause any trouble navigating.

Let me know so I can address it.

Edit to add: I moved the topic to 'site feedback & suggestions'.

Oh and yes, I'm very happy with the new software and all the extra features.

Guess it must be all the extra features including those in the User Control Panel and many Added Forums (or I've been away much too long), etc ...

Does take time to adjust, Mindblower! wrshp

Ahhh...but once you've set things as you like them, it will make all returning visits that much more enjoyable.

As for new forums, I think I added 3, and moved one into a separate category.

New forums
  • B'Day Celebrations added to new category 'Intro yourself'(merged all previous posts related to this and created new forum for 'Intro....')
  • Created Entertainment and Sports category, forum for each(merged some previous threads into each)
  • Added Windows 7 to newly formed category of 'Operating Systems'(merged some threads again)
  • Created update category with a re-direct to COU and forum for popular updates
Over all I think it's just laid out more concise without there being things spread all over.

If you've any suggestions, you know I'm always up to considering them and let the people decide for the most part.

As you can see, I'm getting the hang (typed hand) of things. You should know I voice my opinions freely, and accept change. 2blahs

Is the ' =+\ ' part supposed to be 'BSin' or 'F'in'? <?> ;)

Not that it matters, as long as you keep coming back more frequently. And I don't ever =+\ or =+\ with anyone. O@ rofl
