I believe I already wrote sanitization into it, but I'll double check.

They could certainly use it to try RFI's against other sites however, as it simply processes a URL, nothing more. If you note the return for the URL you posted, it contains the ZBBlock 403 error ;)

I was going to include ZBBlock in the proxy, but it denies URL's in the querystrings, which would kinda kill the script ;) (it takes a URL and REF param, both of which contain URL's). Suppose I could modify ZBBlock to account for this though ....

Umm, yeah, that would be one change in the signatures.

But, better idea, can you pass the data via POST instead of query?

I could, but that wouldn't stop someone abusing it, it would just mean they'd have to post the data too ;)

I've been through the logs however, and there's a crap load of traffic from a specific IP, 194.78.216.127, which traces back to a range in Belgium, and the IP itself resolves to mail.trvsecurity.com (trvsecurity leads to trvprotect.com, which claims to be a sec vendor using Trend Micro's AV). Still trying to get in touch with them to find out whats going on) (I know who this is now)

And knowing who this is does answer the question why the forums has been slow or not? Just curious ;) ?>!

Btw, your previous discussion was too high for me, all I know is that yesterday I had no luck visiting and using this forums at 3 very different times.
Why do geeks think Halloween and Christmas occur on the same day?
Because 31oct = 25dec ;)

It does partially (it wasn't someone malicious ;)). He's switched to a different server, so if that was the cause, it should vanish as of now :)

How about hashing the data, perhaps even doing some light key-based encryption to make sure those using it go through proper channels?
