Proof that some Americans are stupid! <g>

Postby MysteryFCM » Mon Feb 13, 2006 11:25 pm

I'm sorry for the title, but after seeing this (received via e-mail), I couldn't help but laugh ..... this is actually a REAL spam e-mail, leading to a REAL website!.

OK! I'll get right to the
point. I have large amount of funds on numerous bank accounts which need's to be laundered. I need your help to do that. You'll get 10% of each transaction coming into your bank account.

E-mail screenshot:

vURL query:

http://mysteryfcm.co.uk/?mode=vurl&pcon ... ic.php?t=9

The parent domain (makesome.net) uses a meta-refresh to redirect to the above queried thread.

http://mysteryfcm.co.uk/?mode=vurl&pcon ... kesome.net

This is either someone having a laugh, or someone completely stupid!.

I think it could be real. The infamous ShadowCrew operated for years before the FBI took their site down.....it was pure crime, from drugs to fake ID's, they did it all.

I joined for investigative purposes in conjuction with the first Hoax-Slayer fourms. I couldn't believe the stuff I saw, then I couldn't believe I had done that and so far no FBI at my door. ><:

Of course I only made a few posts in the general forum/pub like forum.

Subject: Melbourne IT Retail Site Support Request

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to request the removal of the domain mentioned in this
contact due to the content contained within.

This person is clearly and willingly breaking the law, in addition to
requesting others do the same.

I found out about this site because someone using an insightbb.com

How refreshing! I really needed to see the right thing done today. I only wish it was a bit closer to home.
