   Trillian IM Client

This is a pretty good IM package, that includes all of the big IMs, MSN, AOL, and YaHoo together. This way, you can use one program, to chat with everyone, if you have friends who have different IM programs. Free, with an upgrade to Pro for $$$.

  Karen's Computer Profiler

Very similar to Belarc Advisor, but displays even more information. Free too.

 MS Explains Passwords

Good suggestions that most don't follow about passwords.

Nirsoft Freeware Tools

Some great little tools here, including some password sniffers, Networking tools, desktop stuff, command line tools and lots more.

Wallpaper Master

Wallpaper Master is a powerful and highly customizable desktop wallpaper manager and cycler.

It will automatically change your background wallpaper with a huge range of options, and is great for indexing large collections of personal photos or any kind of image.

  OldVersion.com

Site that archives old versions of some software. I used it to get back my old version of AOL IM when they started to add bloat ware to it, was full of adware and other crap that was forced down my throat by AOL.

Old Apps.com

Another site which collects old versions of all sorts of software.

  Computer Help Resource Center

A collection of links for different aspects of computing, very useful.

CleanSoftware.org

CleanSoftware.org is a resource to help Windows users find the best free daily-use software, free from nasties: adware, spyware, harmful/intrusive components, and threats to privacy.

 ImageShack

ImageShack is a free image hosting solution. It can be used to share pictures with friends, as well as post images on message boards and blogs. It can also be used to direct link images from your personal website or online auction. And best of all, it's completely free.

Photobucket

Photobucket is the most popular site on the Internet for uploading, sharing, linking and finding photos, videos, and graphics. Your free Photobucket account can store thousands of photos and hours of video. Photobucket also offers free tools for making slideshows of photos, videos with music. You can share your photos and videos with friends by email, IM and mobile phone.

Panicware Free PopupStoper

This is another excellent popup stopper, I use this, along with Google bar, and I get, quite literally, maybe one popup break thru a month, maybe. Free with an option to 'allow' the occasional one you want. Just hit Ctrl button as you click.

Google Toolbar w\popup stopper

The Google Bar is one of the better popup blockers available. As an added plus, it includes the feature to use their search engine, Google, the best out there. Just be sure and reset the default settings, so it doesn't report anything back to Google.

Popup Killer Test Site

Go to this site, and see how your popup killer checks out. Very good site.
